This is my favourite scene from the 1956 movie "Forbidden Planet". This movie is one of Director John Carpenter's favourite movies, and is also considered to be on of the biggest inspirations to the TV series Star Trek (TOS). It's also the first appearance of "Robby the Robot", a "character" that was used in several movies and TV series in the following years.
